Why did we move to Florida in 1982

My wonderful, beautiful, smart wife. Linda was hired by the Pinellas County Coroner, Dr. Shiner, to set up a Virus Lab at All Children’s Hospital in St Petersburg.   Linda was a Microbioligst at St.Joseph’s Hospital in Fort Wayne and had established the Virus Lab there, after studying at the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia.  Dr. Shiner had read an article that Linda published and called her, offering a job in St Petersburg.  We sold our house and Linda, Lisa and I headed to Florida.  We stayed 30 years.

The Blind Neukom Family.

My Blind Grandmother, And Her Blind Siblings. My grandmother, Edna Neukom Peterson was one of children.  Five of her siblings were either totally blind, or partially blind. ———————- Reno, the oldest started losing his eye sight in his twenties.  He died at 36 and was severely sight impaired. Edna, my grandmother became blind around 22 and only saw the two oldest of her five sons.  Edna was a motivational speaker for her church and lived along for over 40 years after her husband died.  Died in her 90’s. Florine was totally blind by her late twenties. Paul was totally blind but was an excellent carpenter, played in a band and retired from International Harvestor. Glen, the youngest was blind in one eye.
